Grammar Nazis beware: This post may be hazardous to your health

For a lighter moment, I just had to share this poem posted by a friend on facebook.  It’s a wonder we can learn English Grammar at all, so just keep it light and laugh at yourself — you’re not alone!

  1. English is very quirky

    • Yes it is!! It’s no wonder it’s hard to master – even for native speakers/writers. :)

  2. What a great poem – I love it. I always think that if you have a flock of sheep, one animal should be called a shoop!

    • shoop shoop shoop! I agree. And why are there so many many ways to describe different groups of animals in the first place? It’s all a conspiracy to confuse us ;]

  3. Angela, this is precisely why the English language is so wonderful and must be preserved. It is unique. It is specific. It is descriptive. It is wonderfully confusing at times but I would NOT trade it for any other “:) R

    • Well said! I agree there’s nothing like it, and I love playing with it. :) Angie

  4. Indeed it’s a wonder anyone learns the English language! Good to read a light-hearted post like this about grammar once in a while. Thanks for sharing.

    • Thanks for coming by Tess. I’m glad you enjoyed it :) Angie

  5. OMG this is great! Well it’s no wonder that ESL people are having trouble learning English hehe
